We are eating ourselves to Death

In a new study published in The Lancet, researchers looked at the eating habits of people from 195 countries to estimate how much poor diets contribute to mortality. They discovered that 11 million people die each year because they consume too many sugary drinks, too much salt and too much processed meat and do not each enough healthy foods such as nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
This study shows that poor diet is the leading risk factor for deaths in the majority of the countries of the world. The study concluded that unhealthy diets are a larger determinant of ill health than either tobacco or high blood pressure.
